UK dairy farmers find success with self-filling dairy vending machine | Vending Times

A roadside vending machine that allows customers to fill their own bottles with milk has proven successful for two dairy farm families that operate the machine in East Devon, U.K., according to a thatsfarming.com report.

The families invested in a 120L single-phase pasteurizer, a 300L holding tank and churns to transport and hold the milk in the machine. They also purchased a Brunimat bi-fluid milk vender to dispense 500-millileter and 1-liter bottles. A sensor in the machine alerts the operators when milk levels need a refill. There is also a Jofemar bottle/produce machine that allows customers to buy 500-millileter and 1-liter reusable glass bottles in addition to snacks.

Both machines accept contactless card payments.

The machine offers eight flavors, one or two of which change weekly.
